Installation requirements
 Risk of injury or damage to property due to improper installation.
Incorrect installation of the tumble dryer can lead to personal injury or damage to prop-
erty.
The tumble dryer must only be installed and commissioned by Miele Customer Service
Department or an authorised dealer.
The tumble dryer must be installed in accordance with all relevant regulations and stand-

ards.
The dryer must only be operated in a room that has sufficient ventilation and which is

frost-free.
The tumble dryer must not be installed behind a closeable door or a sliding door. The

maximum opening angle of the tumble dryer door must not be limited by objects or doors.
It must be possible to fully open the tumble dryer door at any time.
The machine may only be operated when the following conditions are met:

- The ship's hull is longer than 24 metres.
- The list of the vessel is not more than 2°.
- The safe operation and correct functioning of the machine can only be guaranteed if the
above conditions are met.
- The safe operation and correct functioning of the machine can only be guaranteed if the

The machine must not be operated on an open deck.

Machines that do not carry the "CSA C/US" safety mark comply with European safety

regulations.
These machines must not be operated in the USA.
This machine must only be installed by a qualified specialist who has made sure that the

conditions for its safe use are met.
When installing this machine, it must be securely fixed to the floor.

Failure to do this could result in personal injury, damage to the machine and damage to
other objects and installations.
The use of industrial laundry machines on vessels operating on inland waterways and

within the 3-mile zone is only permitted if the machine is approved for the country or coun-
tries in question. This does not affect use on vessels in international waters, including sea-
ports.
