Preamble
This document contains the safety-relevant information according to the regulations
concerning the product liability and product safety which have to be observed when using the
product. Detailed operating instructions an data sheets for the CAN versions can be found
and downloaded at www.hydac.com (enter "HPT 1000" in the search box).
Safety information
Before commissioning, please check the device and all accessories supplied. Before
commissioning of the device, please read read these compact instructions and the operating
instructions and ensure that the device is suitable for your application.
CAUTION
► Incorrect handling of the instrument or non-observance of the operating instructions or
technical specifications may lead to damage to property and/or personal injury.
Intended use
Permitted Applications:
The product serves to measure relative pressures in the high-pressure range. It is intended
for the particular series use in hydraulics and pneumatics.
In accordance with the EC Machinery Directive, the product is considered to be a
component for the installation into a system/machine.
Improper use or use deviating from intended use
Any alternative use or more extensive use is not permitted and is not considered intended
use.
Improper use particularly includes:
● Operation in non-permitted operating conditions (▶ "Technical Data")
● Operation in potentially explosive atmospheres
Claims for defects or liability
Claims for defects or liability, regardless of the legal foundation, do not apply with incorrect or
improper installation, commissioning, usage, handling, storage, maintenance, repair, use of
unsuitable components or other circumstances, which the manufacturer is not responsible for.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for determining the interfaces for installation in a
system or the installation, use or functionality of the product in this system.
In cases where the translation is used, the text of the original German instructions shall prevail.
Obligations of the owner
As the owner, you have the following obligations in relation to the use of our product:
Instruction and training
● Provision of these instructions. The owner must ensure that all employees who are assigned
work on the product have read and understood these instructions.
● It is mandatory for the operator to inform personnel on special operating features and
requirements.
● The name plates and any prohibition or information signs applied on the measurement
system must always be maintained in a legible state.
Health and safety at work
● Clear specifications as to which persons are responsible for the various types of activities
(e.g. mounting, installation, commissioning and operation) and what qualifications they need
to have. It is obligatory to provide supervision for trainee personnel!
● Before commissioning, check the device and all accessories supplied. Ensure that the unit
is suitable for your application.
● Repair work may only be undertaken by the manufacturer or a facility or person authorised
by the manufacturer.
