12. Playing on the pads
a) Numbering of the pads
b) Assigning drum sounds (or sound effects) to a specific pad
The digital drum kit has 40 different sounds of drums and 10 sound effects. These can be assigned to the
four pads as desired. Proceed as follows:
• Select the desired rhythm (with the dial).
• Press the button "PAD ASSIGN" (12). "PAD ASSIGN" appears in
the LC display. The LED illuminates on Pad 1.

• Strike once with the drumstick on the pad that you want to set
with a sound effect.
The respective pad LEDs illuminate.
• Strike on the pad until the desired sound effect is achieved. The
respective number of the sound effect ("01" to "50") is displayed in
the LC display.
You can also select the desired sound effect with the dial, howe-
ver no sound output occurs.
Note Appendix A and B at the end of these instructions.
• If one of the other three pads is to be assigned with a sound
effect, simply strike with the drumstick on the other pad so often
until the desired sound effect is achieved.
Also here a quick selection can naturally be made with the dial
(e.g. an impact with the drumstick to pad to adjust, an impact with
the drumstick on Pad 3, sound effect with the dial etc. adjust 2,
sound effect with the dial).
• If you are finished with assigning the sound effects, press the
"PAD ASSIGN" button. "PAD ASSIGN" appears in the LC display,
it disappears and "RHYTHM" reappears.
• This pad and/or the other pads are now set with sound effects res-
pectively; playing the pads with the drumsticks produces the res-
pectively assigned sound effect.
