Dangers due to electrical operating current
• The lights may only be plugged into correctly installed outlets, and
only those of the type indicated on the rating plate.
• Before beginning repairs on the lamp or if the electrical cord should
become damaged, remove the plug from the electrical outlet. Never
pull on the electrical cord! Always pull on the plug.
• Following repair, do not put the light back into operation before
having it checked by an authorized and qualified electrician.
• Do not modify or alter the light in any manner.
• For safety, keep all other objects a minimum of 0.4 m, 16" away from
the light. If objects, such as drapes or curtains for example, are come
within 0.4 m, 16", fire may occur.
Other sources of danger
• Install the electrical cord so that it cannot be tripped over.
• Be careful when handling broken light bulbs. The glass is sharp and may
cut you!
• Do not cover the light with things that could trap the heat from the
light.
