Use of a chest belt
The computer is equipped with a built-in receiver, which can receive the pulse signals measured by a
compatible (uncoded / 5 kHz, e.g. Skandika chest belt) chest belt wirelessly. Please pay attention to
the instruction manual of this chest belt.
If you want to measure your pulse frequency by the chest belt, make sure, the correct battery is in-
serted into the chest belt. You may adjust the strap to a comfortable length. However, the electrodes
must have contact with your skin in order to measure your heart rate correctly. It may last up to one
minute before a correct display can be seen.
Safety hint:
Do not use the chest belt system if you have a pacemaker, unless you double-checked with the pro-
ducer of the pacemaker and with your doctor!
*Hints:
a)
If the computer display does not show any values, please check all plug-in connections carefully to ensure that they have proper
contact, and look to see whether the batteries have been inserted correctly!
b)
The calorie consumption (kilojoule) values registered and displayed with this computer merely serve as indicative values for a
person of medium stature with medium resistance setting, and can deviate considerably from the actual medically precise calorie
consumption.
c)
The pulse values registered and displayed with this computer are merely indicative in nature and can deviate considerably from
the actual pulse.
d)
This computer has been tested according to the corresponding EMC standards. Even so, it is still possible for interference, in par-

restart the computer (wait for it to switch off and on again) or take the batteries out briefly).
e)
Please take out the batteries before disposal of the device and dispose of in an environmental friendly manner.
