Open the safety relief valve on the carbonator bowl and flood the complete bowl all the way to the top
with sanitizing agent. The agent must flow out of the safety valve. Leave the sanitizing agent for
minimum 15 minutes in the dispenser and do not reduce this time as otherwise the sanitizing
procedure will be inefficient !
It is advantageous to flush some more sanitizing agent into the unit in the middle of the 15 minute
active time, because at positions where a bio film exists in the unit, the sanitizing agent will be eaten
up and loose efficiency.
9.
During the 15 minute active time the injector can be disassembled again from the mains water line (close
water line before !) It is recommended to disinfect the open tube ends with an adequate sanitizing spray
before they are reconnected again.
10. After the 15 minute sanitation time has elapsed, open the gas supply (leave water line closed) and
completely dispense all sanitizing agent from the carbonator bowl. By doing this, the flushing of the agent
out of the unit is much easier.
11. Close again the CO
supply to the unit and thoroughly flush out all sanitizing agent from the unit by
2
dispensing minimum 6-7 liters soda water and 4 liters still water.
In case a hygiene filter is being used it is recommended to flush out the sanitizing agent with water that is
being filtered by the new filter. By doing this it is ensured, that possible bacteriological contaminated water
does not spoil your just sanitized dispenser again.
12. In order to make sure that the top area of the carbonator bowl is also flushed with water, let some water
(~ 1 liter) leave through the relief valve of the carbonator bowl.
13. Open the CO
supply to the unit again and dispense once more 2-3 liters to ensure that a good level of
2
carbonation is achieved again.
Make sure that no residues of cleaning / sanitizing agent remains in the cooler or in the lines to
the dispense tower or the dispense tap itself !
For various agents it is possible and recommended to test for residues with test stripes that allow an
optical control.
The cleaning / sanitizing procedure should be written down in the sanitizing monitoring logbook,
which is enclosed at the end of this manual. This data should remain with the unit in order to allow
official authorities to check the frequency of done sanitizations at customers site.
10.
Taking out of operation
For longer periods without operation (e.g. 2 weeks) please follow belows procedure :
-
Close the mains water line feeding the unit and dispense all water from the unit until CO
from the taps
-
Disconnect the dispenser from the mains power
-
Empty the water bath of the unit by using the tube from the water level control. The water from the
water bath must be replaced once per year, in order to avoid a bio film build up that may block the drain
tube
-
Close the CO
supply to the dispenser
2
In case you need to uninstall the unit, make sure it is stored in a dry, clean and frost free location.
In order to ensure a hygiene return to operation again it is strongly recommended to run a sanitization
service on the unit when starting the dispense of water again.
