Using the built-in pressure system
guide card
• Locate the built-in pressure card in
your packaging.
• Identify the appropriate edge of the
card and pressure scale. The edge of
the card is determined by ankle cir-
cumference. It is recommended to
highlight the correct edge and scale.
• Starting with the bottom band, line up
the black triangle on the card with one
of the BPS lines on the bottom band.
• Note where the second BPS line lines
up with the card´s compression ranges
( a).
• If the BPS line on the garment either
falls short ( b) or goes beyond the cor-
rect compression range ( c), readjust
the band as necessary so that the se-
cond BPS line on the garment is aligned
with the prescribed compression range
( a). Completely loosen the band be-
fore reapplying it if too much tension
has been applied.
• Repeat the steps
going up the leg. Be sure to adjust all
bands to the same tension to ensure
graduated compression compression.
Bands may need adjusting throughout
the day to maintain the prescribed
compression range
Follow-up visits
Remind the patient to bring the entire
circaid juxtacures system to every fol-
low-up appointment for proper adjust-
ment. At every follow-up visit with the
patient, the circaid juxtacures should be
checked for necessary adjustments.
Reduction of the leg circumferences
Should the patient reduce significantly,
ankle and calf circumference measure-
ments can be re-taken and the garment
can be adjusted to the patient's new size
by resetting the spine per customizing
steps - .
Once the device has been properly ad-
justed, re-apply the legging to the pa-
tient's limb. Be sure to also check wheth-
er or not the patient should be using a
different edge of the BPS-card as the ap-
propriate range on the card may have
changed. Make the appropriate adjust-
ments, if necessary.
Tip Once the patient's ulcer has healed, cir-
caid juxtalite and mediven round-knitted
stockings are available for order to pre-
vent ulcer recurrence.
