PYROS Dry Block Temperature Calibrators
2. Safety

Before commissioning and opera�ng, ensure that the approbriate temperature
calibrator has been selected in terms of temperature range, design and specific
measurement condi�ons.
Further important safety instruc�ons can be found in the individual chapters of
these opera�ng instruc�ons.
2.1 Intended use
The portable dry block temperature calibrators of the
calibra�on of temperature sensors in laboratory, on board or in the field, in conformity with ISO
9001 standards. They offer automa�c calibra�on of thermostats with a simple func�on, as well as
thermal tests on materials.
The dry block temperature calibrators are equipped with a temperature source and a built-in
reference temperature probe. If an unit under test is placed in a suitable drilling in the metal block
or insert, by comparison of the two measured values at any given temperature, a check of the
accurac and/or adjustment of the unit unter test can be carried out.

opera�on of the instrument outside of its technical specifica�ons requires the instrument to be
taken out of service immediately and inspected by an authorised DRUCK & TEMPERATUR
Leitenberger GmbH service engineer.
Handle this precision instrument with the required care (protect from humidity, impacts, strong
magne�c fields, sta�c electricity and extreme ambient temperature, do not insert any objects into
the instrument or its opening, except units under test (temperature probes) or external reference
probes into the suitable drillings in the well insert.
If the instrument is transported from a cold into a warm environment, the forma�on of
condensa�on may result in instrument malfunc�on. Before pu�ng it back into opera�on, wait for
the instrument temperature and the room temperature to equalise.
