14 Maintenance
At least once a year, maintenance should be carried out by an authorised specialist company, by a new
inspection sticker and recorded in a control book.
The following checks must be carried out during maintenance:
• External inspection of the system components
• Check all relevant power supply units
• Function test of the connected system components

Check for dirt, damage, corrosion and fastening.
Testing of all functions, visual inspection of the function and fault displays in
the control panel and the connected manual call points, displays, etc.
Check the battery voltage:
Measure the voltage on the batteries. A voltage of > 24 V should be present.
Check the charging voltage:
Switch on / connect the mains (230 V) and reset the SHE system.
Wait until the control panel goes into standby mode.
Measure charging voltage in standby mode.
A voltage of > 26 V should be available.
Check quiescent current:
In order to ensure that the prescribed emergency power maintenance is
achieved over 72 hours, the quiescent current consumption of the SHEV con-
trol centre must also be measured.
