6.6.9 "VALV" - Adjustment of the regulator - manipulated
variable
In this menu point, the output of the regulator can be optimally adjusted to the
working range of the actuator actually used in the application. The proportional
valve will be driven by the regulator using a pulse-width modulated signal. The
opening of the valve thereby does not start at sensing ration 0 of the PWM signal,
but, due to the magnetic force working against the spring force, will only start at a
specific value. This start of the opening is dependent on the nominal width of the
valve, the pilot pressure and, due to the temperature dependence of the coil
resistance, also on the coil temperature.
The function of the regulator can thereby be optimised in such a way that the
manipulated variable range output by the regulator does not start at 0, but at the
start of the opening which occurs in the actual application.

As soon as the manipulated variable is changed by

switch to the value of the manipulated variable. Once the
key is released, the actual value will be displayed again.
With this key, you increase the sensing
ratio of the proportional valve, i.e., the
proportional valve opens to a max. of
100%.
With this key, you reduce the sensing ratio
of the proportional valve.
