The overload and the burst pressures must absolutely be met (specifications can be found
in chapter "Technical Data").
In order to prevent the orifice from clogging which leads to faulty measurement vaules, a
minimum oil cleanliness has to be ensured. There may not be any particles in the oil which
might cause clogging of the orifice with a diameter of 500 µm.
The specified accuracy can only be granted under the circumstance that the fluid
temperature approximately corresponds with the environmental temperature.
The operation of the pressure transmitter outside of its specified temperature limits may
lead to an unsafe behaviour. Compliance with the temperature limits for environmental and
fluid temperature in the higher-level system has to be ensured.
The operation of the pressure transmitter outside of its specified voltage limits may lead to
an unsafe behaviour. Compliance with the voltage limits in the higher-level system has to be
ensured.
In the higher-level system the voltage peaks need to be limited to max. 40 V by means of
phenomenons such as surge or load-dump.
A drift (offset) of the measurement cell(s) caused by an event of overpressure or by ageing
(overload < pressure < burst pressure renage) can only be detected in depressurised state
under unfavourable conditions. The higher-level system has to take on this state in
adequate time intervals and has to carry out additional plausibility checks of the measured
values when being depressurised.
For the intended use, the measurement system operator has to ensure that all status
information provided by the measurement system will be evaluated by the higher-level
control system.
Touching the measurement system connection contacts with bare fingers must be avoided.
When handling the measurement system, the ESD protective measures must absolutely be
adhered to.
Wiring, opening and closing of electrical connections have to be carried out in de-energized
condition only!
The characteristics and specifications related to functional safety must be adhered to at any
rate. If the instrument is not handled correctly, or if the operating instructions and
specifications are not adhered to, damage to property and/or personal injury can result.

8.2 Intended use / foreseeable misuse

Claims for defects or liability, regardless of the legal foundation, do not apply with incorrect
or improper installation, commissioning, usage, handling, storage, maintenance, repair, use
of unsuitable components or other circumstances, which the manufacturer is not
responsible for.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for determining the interfaces for installation in
a system or the installation, use or functionality of the product in this system.
