play indicates "BEEP ON" (or "BEEP OF").

d) Recording Mode (SP/ LP, short-play/ long-play)
The Digital Voice Recorder disposes of two different recording
modes:
• SP, short-play/ normal play: recording time approx. 8h 51min
• LP, long-play:
However, the prolonged recording time is due to a lower audio qual-
ity. If you do not need the prolonged recording time of the "LP"
mode, you should prefer the "SP" mode.
The basic setting is "SP".
• The setting can be changed both in stop mode and during play-
back (not during recording!).

12. Dubbing
a) Connection to a Hi-Fi System
Digital Voice Recorder

Hi-Fi system
Connect the headphones output of the Digital Voice Recorder with a
line input e.g. of your hi-fi system. Then, record the desired single
recordings, e.g. by means of a tape deck, MD recorder, etc.
b) Connection to a PC Sound Card
Connect the headphones output of the Digital Voice Recorder with a
line input of your PC sound card.
Please observe the operating manual of the soundcard or the PC to
know how to record audio files and to store them on hard disk.
c) Connection to the USB Port of a PC
