Initial operation
1) Open the battery compartment
2) Insert the batteries into the battery compartment
in accordance with the correct polarity.
3) Close the battery compartment cover so that it
clicks into place.
4) Place the scale on a flat, stable surface and
tap the centre of the scale with your foot to
switch it on.
5) Pick up the scales and set the desired unit of
measurement (kg, lb or st) by pressing the
UNIT button
on the rear of the scales
NOTE

The unit of measurement must only be set on
first use.
6) Place the scales on a flat and stable surface.
Ensure that neither the floor at the location of
the scales nor the upper surface of the scales
are wet, otherwise there is a risk of slipping!
NOTE
►
These scales contain sensitive electronic
components and should therefore NOT be
located:
–
close to sources of heat
–
in environments with extreme air humidity.
The scales are now ready for use.

Using the scales

Never jump onto glass scales! This could
irreparably damage them.
1) Stand with both feet on the scale. The scale
switches on. Stand as still as possible and without
displacing your weight.
2) During the weighing process, the indicated
weight increases until your weight is shown.
3) Once your weight has been determined, the
result blinks three times on the display
NOTE
If the display
the scales cannot measure the weight correctly.
In this case, step down from the scales, wait
a few seconds and then try again. Make sure
you stand still and do not interrupt the weighing
procedure.
Never use the scales if they are wet
or moist. Never step onto the scales
with wet or moist feet. There would
be a serious risk of slipping and
personal injury!
Never put weight onto only one
side of the scales. Always step onto
the scales in the middle and with
both feet. Otherwise, the scales
could tip and become irreparably
damaged. There is also a risk of
falling over!
