Attaching/removing the bowl

To attach the bowl 1 to the scales, simply place
the bowl 1 onto the scales so that the catch 2
is facing in line with the display 4.
Press the bowl 1 downwards, preferably directly
on the rim above the catch 2, so that the catch 2
clicks into place on the scales.
To remove the bowl 1 from the scales, press
the sliding button 5 for releasing the bowl 1
upwards and simultaneously lift the bowl 1
from the scales.
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
If you want to continue processing the food
you have weighed directly in the bowl 1, then
always remove the bowl 1 from the scales!
Otherwise you could damage the scales.
Before fi rst use
1) Remove the screw on the battery compartment 6
on the underside of the scales using a screw
driver.
2) Open the battery compartment 6
3) Remove the plastic tab between the battery
and the contacts.
4) Close the battery compartment cover so that it
clicks into place. Replace the screw and screw
it in fi rmly.
5) Clean the bowl 1 as described in the section
"Cleaning and Care".
6) Place the bowl 1 onto the scales so that the
catch 2 on the bowl 1 clicks into place on the
scales. To do this, press the rim of the bowl 1
above the catch 2 gently downwards until the
bowl 1 audibly clicks into place.
The scales are now ready for use.

Setting up

Place the kitchen scales on a level and slip-free
surface.
NOTE
This appliance is equipped with non-slip rub-
ber feet. As furniture surfaces may be made
of a variety of materials and are treated with
many diff erent types of cleaning agents, it
cannot be completely ruled out that some
substances contain ingredients which may
perish the rubber feet and soften them.
If possible place an anti-slip mat under the
feet of the appliance.

Operation

Setting the units of measurement

You can choose between the metric and the
Anglo-American (imperial) system as well as
various modes.
In the metric system:
Gram (g)
Flour (is displayed in grams)
Water (is displayed in millilitres)
Oil (is displayed in millilitres)
Milk (is displayed in millilitres)
In the Anglo-American system:
Pounds and ounces (lb:oz)
Flour
(is displayed in pounds/ounces)
Water
(is displayed in fl uid ounces (fl ΄oz))
Oil
(is displayed in fl uid ounces (fl ΄oz))
Milk
(is displayed in fl uid ounces (fl ΄oz))
