Registering and deregistering handsets

10.4.1 Registering handsets
1. Press the Paging button ˜ on the base station for three
seconds until two acoustic signals are issued. Register the new
handset within 90 seconds.
2. Press the Æ button on the handset and use the , button to
select menu option REGISTER".
3. Press the Æ button to confirm the option and press the + or
, button to select the menu option REG BASE".
4. Confirm by pressing Æ and enter the number of the base
station (1 to 4) using the digit keys. If the handset is already
connected to a base station, the corresponding number flashes.
5. Confirm by pressing the Æ button. A search is made for the
base station.
6. When the base station is found, enter the PIN (default setting 0 0
0 0).
7. Confirm by pressing the Æ button. An acoustic signal is issued
after a few seconds. The handset is now registered and can be
used for internal and external calls.
Note: The handset is assigned an internal call number. The handset
already registered has the internal call number 1. The second
handset registered is assigned the internal call number 2. The
internal call number appears on the right−hand side of the
display.
10.4.2 Registering other DECT−GAP telephones on the base station
In order to register a DECT−GAP handset from another manufacturer,
follow the instructions in the operating manual provided by the original
manufacturer and then press the Paging button ˜ on your base station
for 3 seconds. Use the PIN to register (default setting: 0000).
