4 Transferpettor macro
Remove piston rod
c.
Insert new piston rod
a. Screw the piston rod lock onto the piston rod as far as it will go.
b. Then screw the piston rod into the instrument as far as it will go.
c. Press the pipetting button and tighten the piston rod lock by hand.
d. Put on new seal.
e. Push on new cap.

Problem
Pipetted volume too low.
Pipetting button cannot be
pressed all the way to the end
plate.

a. Pull off cap.
b. Press the pipetting button as far as it
will go.
c. Turn the piston rod lock counter-
clockwise. This involves unscrewing
the piston rod from the instrument.
d. Unscrew piston rod retainer from pis-
ton rod.
Possible cause
Cap pushed on too far.
Piston rod loosened.
Corrective action
Remove cap.
Tighten the piston rod lock.
Push on cap.
