The limitation to a lower value (up to a minimum of 0.22 A) can be adjusted with R6. In order to
determine the value of R6, use formula (450. 1 — 100) S2 at an ambient temperature of 25 oC or
(510 . I — ]00) at an ambient temperature of 55 °C.
I u is the required current limitation in amperes. See also characteristic fig. 8.
Note: 772e value ofR6 may not exceed 187 S2 maximum in order to avoid damage of the stabilizer
in case oJ'short-circuit.
Series connection
Two instruments can be connected in series.
In order to avoid the polarity to be inverted, a diode of 1 A min, (e.g. BY 126) must be connected in
reversed direction between the output terminals (fig. Sa).
The remote stabilization for series connection is also pdssible. To this end see circuit fig. 56.
Parallel connection
Two instruments can be connected in parallel.
Building-in
The side of the stabilizer is provided with 4 mounting holes (~ 3.8 mm) to enable to be built-in into an
electrical or electronic apparatus (fig. 13). The stabilizer must be mounted vertically so that the
natural air circulation is not hindered.
The stabilizer can also be mounted horizontally however the maximum output current is then 0.4 A
at an ambient temperature of 55 °C.
Two stabilizers can be mounted by means of set PE 1380, which comprises bracket and rear panel.
A front panel PE 1381 can be mounted on the bracket for mounting in cabinet 3E-19" or a front
panel PE 1385 for mounting in 19" rack adapter 19 (fig. 11 and 12).
If necessary the lamp on the front panel can be connected to soldering points "+" and "—".
