Before first Use

Remove the appliance and the accessory out of the packaging. Keep packag-
ing materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
Clean all parts of the appliance before using for the first time, as described in
the chapter „Cleaning".
Before first use operate the toaster at least once on maximum heat without
using any bread in order to clean the heater elements. Thereafter your toaster
is ready to use.
Never touch the top grille during operation. It becomes very hot when the
appliance is in use.

Toasting Toast/Bread

1. Connect the power cable to
the power mains. Use the
time adjustment knob (7) to
set the desired degree of
browning. Stage 1
sents the shortest roasting
time while stage 6 repre-
sents the longest roasting
time. Please note that fro-
zen, dry and fresh bread
require different
times.
Caution: Do not toast thin slices of bread for a long time. The bread could
start burning.
2. Put the roasting product into the roasting slots (1) of the toaster.
3. Press down the ON lever (3). The button (5) lights up and the toaster starts
heating.
4. After the set time, the toaster automatically turns off. The toaster can be
turned off prematurely any time by pressing the cancel button (5).
Caution: Roasted products are very hot after toasting. There is a risk of
burns!
