Operating

1. Sort out the ironing according to the temperature and fill water in the water
tank up to the MAX marking. Insert the filter cartridge.
2. Make sure the steam iron base sits steadily on an even ground.
3. Insert the plug into the socket and select with the selection button (2) the
desired temperature.
4. Wait until the selected temperature is reached and the displayed setting (3) is
not flashing.
5. Press the steam button (4), if you want to iron with steam. Make sure not to
point the hot steam towards body parts, other persons or animals. There is
risk of scalding!
6. Preferably place the steam iron on the base when resting. The steam iron
cannot tumble or drop.
7. While ironing, check the water level. If the water level is below the marking
"Release", fill water in the tank and continue ironing after the water is pre-
heated.
8. When finishing, pull the power plug and allow the steam iron to cool down.

Hints

With the steam iron you can also iron vertically.
Keep the steam iron upright approx. 5 – 15 cm
from the cloth. Press the steam button. Use the
vertical ironing to straighten suits, delicate evening
gown, coats, curtains etc. If necessary, gently use
a soft brush with natural bristles to help the
process.
To protect the sole plate from damages, do not iron
over zip fasteners, buttons or eyes.
For removing residues of shirt finishes or glosses from the sole plate, first
allow the sole plate to cool down completely and than wipe the plate with a
moistened cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning
the sole plate.
You do not need to empty remaining water in the water tank. However, if you
do not use the steam iron for long time (several weeks), we recommend
emptying the water after ironing.
