Functions and Start-up
The digital thickness gauge comes with one battery of the type
1.5 V AG13. The battery is protected by a transport safety to
avoid discharging. To make the unit operative, just pull the
protruding insulating strip from the battery compartment.
To turn on the unit, press the switch OFF/ON (6) once.
With the switch (5) you can select between the measuring unit
inch and mm. If the unit is turned on, press the switch (5). The
display changes form mm to inch and vice versa. The final
setting will be sorted after switching off the thickness gauge.
To reset the value, press the button ZERO (7). This function is
useful for undertaking relative measurements.
The thickness gauge automatically switches off after 5
minutes, if no measurements are undertaken.
Measuring
1. Switch on the digital thickness gauge
and press the lever (4) down. The mov-
able contact point (3) moves in direction
to the housing.
2. Clamp the object you want to measure between both contact
points (2 + 3). Release the lever and read the value from the
display.
Relative Measurement
In this function relative measurements can be taken, i. e. the
aberration between two measured values is displayed and you
can follow the changing of a value.
1. Switch on the unit and press the lever (4) down.
2. Clamp the first object you want to measure between both
contact points and read the result from the display.
