Recommended mounting or operating height and detection area:
The motion detection area is at approx. 120°. The detection range is up to 7 metres
at an operating height of 1.5 metres.
Depending on the operating height, the spatial conditions and temperature fluctua-
tions, these values may vary.
To ensure best motion detection, the motion detector must be placed so that the object to be
detected does not approach the motion detector directly (see figure B) but passes from left to
right or vice versa (see Figure A).

Commissioning/Functional test

• Set the "TIME" dial (1) to the lowest duration (= - position).
• Set the "SENS" dial (2) to maximum sensitivity (= + position).
• Set the "LUX" dial (4) to maximum brightness (= sun symbol position).
• Plug the adaptor with motion detection (without any device plugged in!) into a suitable mains
outlet with a protective grounding conductor.
• The adapter with motion detector now requires approx. 60 seconds for initialising
• Connect a device to the "front socket" (6) and leave the "diverging lens" (3) detection area
before the 60 seconds of initialisation are over.
For admissible maximum device output, observe the section on "technical
data".
• Wait approx. 60 seconds.
• Walk through the detection area. Observe if and when the connected device is switched on.
• If required, change the motion detector operating site.
• Carry out the functional test again to make sure the detection area corresponds to your
wishes.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Apart from cleaning of the lens from time to time, this product is maintenance-free.
Please use a clean, lint-free and dry antistatic cloth to clean the motion detector. Do not use
scouring, chemical agents or cleaners that contain solvents. Do not press too hard on the diverg-
ing lens.
