The alarm function is activated/deactivated by pressing the START/STOP button (D), while the alarm time is
displayed. The alarm symbol is displayed, if the alarm function is activated.
Using the Stopwatch
Simple timing
• Press the MODE button (C), until the stopwatch is displayed.
• Press the START/STOP (D) button, to start or stop the stopwatch.
• The stopwatch can be re-started, without resetting the measured time. In this, case the measured times are
added.
• Reset the stopwatch to "0", by pressing the LAP/SPLIT button (A) after stopping the measurement.

Measuring lap and split times
• Press the MODE button (C), until the stopwatch is displayed.
• Press the START/STOP button (D), to start or stop the stopwatch.
• Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), after every completed lap.
• The current lap time (time needed for complete the last lap) is displayed in the top line, the current split time
(measured total time until the completion of the last lap) is displayed in the middle line, the number of laps
is shown in the upper left of the display.
• The button line displays the time elapsed since the start of the stopwatch.
• Press the START/STOP button (D), to stop the stopwatch.
• Reset the stopwatch to "0", by pressing the LAP/SPLIT button (A) after stopping the measurement.

Displaying the fastest/slowest/average lap time
• Press the RECALL button (B), after measuring lap and split times (see above), to display the fastest lap.
• Press the RECALL button (B) again, to display the slowest lap.
• Press the RECALL button (B) again, to display the average lap time.
• Press the MODE button (C), to return to the stopwatch mode.
Displaying the saved lap/split times
• Press the RECALL button (B), after measuring lap and split times (see above), to display the saved lap and
split times.
• Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), to display the saved values in descending order.
• Press the START/STOP button (D), to display the saved values in ascending order.
• Press the MODE button (C), to return to the stopwatch mode.
Up to 999 lap and split times are saved for determining the maximum and average times.
However, only 500 single values can be displayed.
The maximum and average values displayed are not correct, if more than 999 lap or split times
were saved or if the measured time exceeds 9 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
Operating the countdown timer
Setting the countdown time
• Press the MODE button (C), until the countdown timer is displayed.
• Keep the RECALL button (B) pressed for 2 seconds, until the hours of countdown timer 1 flash.
• Set the hours with the START/STOP button (D).
• Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), until the minutes flash.
• Set the minutes with the START/STOP button (D).
• Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), until the seconds flash.
• Set the seconds with the START/STOP button (D).
• Repeat these steps for countdown timer 2.
• Press the RECALL button (B) to save the setting, or wait for 30 seconds until the setting mode is complet-
ed automatically.
The range that can be set, for countdown timer 1, is 1 second to 9 hours 58 minutes and 59
seconds.
Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), to delete the settings.
Using the countdown timer
• Press the START/STOP button (D) to start the timer.
• Press the START/STOP button (D) again, to stop the timer.
• A signal sounds after the end of countdown 1, and timer 2 is started automatically.
• After the end of the second countdown, a signal sounds again and timer 1 restarts.

• After both timers have run down, one cycle is completed and a new cycle starts. This is shown in the cycle
display, in the upper left.
A maximum of 99 cycles can be completed.
Frequency counter
The frequency counter can be used to calculate, for example, stroke frequencies in rowing or frequencies in
rope skipping.
• Press the MODE button (C), until the frequency counter is displayed.
• Press the START/STOP button (D) upon the first event to be counted (e.g. first rowing stroke).
• Press the START/STOP button (D) upon the third event to be counted (e.g. third rowing stroke).
• The frequency is displayed in events per minute (in this case, stroke frequency in rowing).
• Press the LAP/SPLIT button (A), to reset the display to "180".
The measureable frequency range is 11-180 events/min.
"Err" is shown in the display, if the frequency is outside this range.
Pacemaker Function
With this function a signal is sounded at a frequency, which can be set. This is useful, for example, if you want
to train at a certain pre-defined rhythm.
Setting the frequency
• Press the MODE button (C), until the pacemaker is displayed.
• Press the button (A) to set the frequency.
The frequency can be set to 10/20/30/40/60/80/120/160/240 or 320 signals/min.
Using the pacemaker
• Press the START/STOP button (D), to start the pacemaker.
• Press the START/STOP button (D), to stop the pacemaker.
• The display shows the number of steps and the measured time.
The settings and measured values are deleted as soon as you exit the pacemaker function.
Maintenance and Care
Apart from replacing the battery, the device is maintenance-free. Only clean the exterior of the device with a
soft, dry cloth or a small brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the case could be damaged.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is pro-
hibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols
to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the rel-
evant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can
return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point
of your local authority, to our stores or to any other store where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
