6. Description and Functions

Many heating systems and their circulation pumps work inefficiently when running constantly and
work independently of the actual heating needs within the house.
If you operate FHT single room control, the "FHT 8W" demand control heating relay provides a simple
solution. It analyses the data sent between the room thermostat and the wireless valve drives for up
to 10 rooms and can exactly and efficiently control the heating system according to the actual heating
required.
The "FHT 8W" has a switching output which can control either the boiler control and/or the circulation
pump.
Every minute, in automatic mode, the device automatically compares the data sent from the room
thermostats (valve opening) with a programmable limit value and switches the relay depending on the
data. It is also possible to use manual switching.
The device can also analyse the communication of all control units within the FHT system, i.e.
"FHT 8R", "FHT 8B", "FHT 80B" and "FHZ1000", with the valve drives "FHT 8S" and "FHT 8V".
An intelligent signal loss function activates a safety switching function in case of long term loss,
depending on the configuration of the safety function.
Integration into the FHT system is carried out by simple programming of the included room
thermostats.
The device display shows both the status of the room thermostats (e.g. also signal loss) and the "FHT
8W" switching output status along with other operating information.
If the device has to be placed so far from the heating system that it cannot switch by cable, an internal
transmitter module bridges the distance and wirelessly controls a FS20 switching receiver e.g. "FS20
AS1". The receiver's switching output then becomes the actuator.
The device is contained in an IP 65 housing and can thus be used in damp areas.
The system operates in the 868MHz ISM range.
