Baby stage

The baby stage is further divided into three sub-stages.
Baby stage 1 (AIBO cries a lot)
Newborn AIBO
AIBO is at this stage when you use AIBO Life 2 for
the first time. Like a newborn baby, it is unable to
understand what it sees or hears.
AIBO is surprised even when you touch any of its
sensors for a while. Reassure it by gently touching
any of its sensors (see page 44) to let it know that
everything is all right.

"How old are you?", "Good boy/Good girl/Good AIBO", "Don't do
it", "Go for it" and "Take a picture"
Baby stage 2 (AIBO learns to recognize the ball)
AIBO and ball
AIBO learns to recognize its pink ball.
At first AIBO may be puzzled when you show it the ball. Don't rush AIBO. Give it
time to get used to it. When AIBO looks at the ball and becomes happy, praise
AIBO. AIBO will then become happier when it sees the ball.
