Safety Instructions
In the case of any damages which are caused due to failure to observe these operating
instructions, the guarantee will expire. We do not assume liability for resulting damages.
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused be improp-
er use or the failure to observe the safety instructions. The guarantee will expire in any
such case.
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety and
approval reasons (CE).
The device must not be exposed to high temperatures, strong vibrations and/or shocks, high humidity or
strong mechanical stress.
Make sure that all electrical connections, connecting cables and possible extension cables between the unit
are correct and in accordance with the operating instructions.
Attention needs to be paid that the protective conductor (yellow/green) is neither interrupted on the
mains power line or a possibly connected extension cable, nor on/in the device, since an interrupted
protective conductor can cause lethal danger. The operation without a protective conductor connec-
tion is not permitted.
Never pour liquids over the device. There is a high danger of fire or a highly dangerous electric shock. How-
ever, should this happen, instantly pull the mains plug from the mains socket and consult an expert.
Electrical devices should be kept out of reach of children. Please be extra careful when children are around.
Children might try to insert objects into the device. There is the risk of a life-threatening electrical shock.
This product is not a toy and this is why it should be kept out of children's reach.
Separate the device from the mains,
• before cleaning the device
• if you are not using it for a longer period of time
• in the case of a thunderstorm.
If there is reason to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the product out of operation and
secure it against any unintended operation. Pull the mains plug from the socket.
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
• the product exhibits visible damage
• the product does not operate any longer
• the product was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time.
or
• the product was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Before cleaning the product or servicing it, please observe the following safety instructions:
When opening covers or removing parts of the housing you may expose live parts. Therefore, disconnect
the unit from all voltage sources and connections before performing maintenance work or repairs. Capaci-
tors inside the unit may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected all voltage sources.
Repairs or may only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the hazards involved and the
relevant regulations.
In commercial and industrial facilities the regulations for the prevention of accidents as laid down by the
professional trade association for electrical equipment and devices need to be observed.
When in doubt about how to connect it correctly or should there be questions concerning the mode of oper-
ation or safety that are not replied to in these operating instructions contact our Technical Advisory Service
or another expert.
Do not leave packing material unattended. Plastic foils or bags, polystyrene parts, etc. could become dan-
gerous playing material for children.
