Operating the Winch

1. Step out of the danger zone and operate the push button of the
cable remote (5) to wire in the steel cable. The winch operates as
long as you press the button.
2. Constantly monitor the operation of the winch and immediately
turn off the winch if you experience interferences or any threats of
danger (e.g., drifting, blocking or toppling load). Also turn off the
winch if the slipping clutch responses (motor continues to rotate,
but draws no more)! Then the maximum pulling force is exceed-
ed.
3. When the object to be drawn has reached its final position, turn
off the winch. Secure the load against rolling, tilting, etc.
4. Release the clutch by turning the clutch knob (2) counter clock-
wise and release the steel cable as far until the hook can be
removed.
5. Wire in the steel cable, but only as far that the cable loop is not
running on the cable drum. Make sure that the cable runs cleanly
on the drum turn next to turn. Be careful to avoid tangles and do
not wire in any loops. Do not let the hook run on the drum to
avoid damaging the winch.
6. Disconnect the clamps of the power cable from the battery (first
disconnect the plus pole and then the minus pole).
7. Remove the winch from the trailer hitch. Disconnect the two
electric plugs and then store the winch and the accessories in a
dry place. Only use the carrying handle to move the winch.
