1. Tape Speed Adjustment
*Be sure to make adjustment in order of Normal-speed to
High-speed. (For W200; Normal-speed only)

apply
heat-run
for 20 minutes
or more. Then, playback
alignment
tape for TAPE 1 and TAPE 2, and adjust the
tape speed to the middle of the tape so that the speed of
TAPE 1 and TAPE 2 are equal.

level —20 dB) at TAPE 2 and playback at TAPE
1. Adjust
the head azimuth
as output signal of the LINE OUT ter-
minals is maximum.
When
the maximum
values differ between
both channels,
set to the maximum value of the left channel. Check that
the difference
between
the values of both channels
is less
than
2 dB, and
readjust when
the difference
is greater.

Check procedure
Connect the electronic voltmeter to the LINE OUT termi-
nals, playback the Dolby alignment tape and check that the
reading of the electronic voltmeter indicates the value. (The
difference between the values of both channels
is less than
2 dB)
4. Bias current Adjustment and REC / PLAY Output Level Adjustment
Set RTO1L,
R in the center position and record at the recording level shown in the table below to adjust for each tape, then
check the playback level.

Adjustment procedure
(1) Bias Current Adjustment (for TAPE 2)
1) Connect the audio oscillator to the LINE IN terminals
Via the attenuator and set the unit to the record mode.
Adjust the output of the audio oscillator so that the
meter
indicates
0 dB. Then, adjust the attenuator
to
set it to 0 dB to —23 dB. (Frequency: 1 kHz)
