Safety regulations
These instructions contain important sections dealing with safety.
Special attention must be paid to all framed safety text that begins with a warning symbol (triangle) followed
by a signal word, as shown below

Also observe the following general safety rules:

Before starting the machine, read through these instructions carefully.

Also read through the red safety instructions before putting the machine to use.
•
For reasons of product safety, the machine must not be modified.
•
Use approved personal protective equipment.
•
Use CP Genuine Parts only.
•
Replace damaged or worn plates.
•
Only trained personnel may work on the machine.
General

WARNING
Take every precaution not to injure yourself
or other personnel. Read through the sepa-
rate safety instruction leaflet before putting
the hammer to work.

WARNING
Make sure that the carrier is sufficiently
stable during transportation and while wor-
king with the hammer.

WARNING
Never intervene in the hydraulic hammer, its
hoses or connections when the hydraulic
system is pressurized.

CAUTION
Never intervene in the hydraulic hammer
when the oil is hot. Hot oil can cause burns.
denotes a hazard or hazardous procedure which CAN lead to serious or
life-threatening injuries if the warning is not observed.
denotes a risk or risky procedure which CAN lead to personal injury or damage
to equipment if the caution is not observed.

CAUTION
Avoid getting hydraulic oil on your hands.
Use protective gloves.

WARNING
Take care when working at the hammer. Oil
spills are harmful to nature and vegetation.
Oil patches can cause accidents due to slip-
ping.
•
Always clean the house couplings before discon-
necting and connecting them.
•
Always plug hoses and hose nipples with clean,
tight plugs on disconnection.
•
When assembling the hammer, always connect
the pressure and return hoses first.Then run the
oil through the system filter for about 3 minutes
to clean the hoses. Then connect the hammer.
The same applies when changing a hydraulic
hose.
Important: Do not tip oil into the environment. Di-
spose of it properly.
•
Do not start the hammer until the oil in the hy-
draulic system has reached the correct working
temperature for the carrier.
•
If the oil temperature in the tank exceeds 80°C
the hammer may not be operated. The carrier's
hydraulic system may be damaged.
