CAUTION! The closed side of
the disc cover must always
face the operator to protect
against sparks and shavings.
Separating work must be carried out
with a protective mechanism de-
signed specifically for the purpose.
Assembly and removal of the disc
cover
Change the disc cover according to
requirement and usage.
To do this, release the unlocking
lever (6) and, if necessary, the clamp-
ing nut (6a), to enable the disc cover
to be rotated and removed from the
guide groove on the drive head (11).
Assemble in the reverse order.
Mounting tools
CAUTION! Pull the plug before
doing any work on the device!
Separating and roughing discs
All kinds of roughing and separating
discs (cropped A/B and flat) can be
mounted to the spindle (8) (Figure 2).
Depending on the type and thickness
of the disc, an appropriate arrange-
ment of the clamping flange (9) and
support flange (10) is selected.
Push the spindle lock (12) in
deep and hold in this position.
If necessary, gently rotate the
spindle with the free hand until it en-
gages. Hold the spindle lock (12)
down and insert the wrench (14) into
76
the holes on the clamping flange (9).

Rotate the clamping flange anti-
clockwise to release the flange. (Fig-
ure 6)
Remove the clamping flange (9) from
the spindle (8). Do not remove the
support flange (10).
Check whether the support flange
(10) is seated correctly on the spin-
dle. The side with the ring joint (10a)
must face away from the power tool
(Figure 2)
Place the grinding body on the spin-
dle.
CAUTION! Check the grinding
body before placement for
possible damages, e.g. cracks or
wear! Never use a damaged or
worn grinding body!
CAUTION! Pay attention to the
direction of rotation on the
grinding disc!
Place the clamping flange (10) on the
spindle (9). Regardless of whether
the grinding body has a flat or deep
interior, the clamping flange must be
used. For this, follow Figure 2.
Figure 2 also shows show the ten-
sioning flange (10) is to be fitted
when using thick or thin grinding
discs.
Tighten the clamping flange (10) firm-
ly. To do this, press the spindle lock
(12) and, at the same time, rotate the
clamping flange (10) clockwise using
the wrench (14).
