7 Installing the solar charge controller

The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who has
demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and operation of
electrical equipment and installations, and who is familiar with the applicable
regulations of the country in which the equipment is to be installed and/or used,
and has received safety training to identify and avoid the hazards involved.

7.1 Installation location

When selecting an installation location, consider the following:
• The device should be installed close to the batteries to keep the battery connection cable as short as possible.
• The mounting surface must be even and sufficiently hard.
• The device must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture and dust.
• There should be a space of 10 cm on all sides around the device.
7.2 Mounting the solar charge controller

Before drilling any holes, ensure that no electrical cables or other parts of the vehicle
can be damaged by drilling, sawing or filing.
➤ Mount the device with 4 screws vertically on a wall with the terminals pointing down.
