Note. The U-bolts needed for rectangular roof bars
(4 pcs – pos. J) are not included in the set and must be
ordered individually (order no. 5L0 071 752) if required.
Mounting procedure
Mounting the roof rack. When mounting the roof rack, follow the
procedure given in the relevant mounting instructions for the roof
rack.
Always choose the largest possible distance between the roof bars
(crossbars).
The distance between the roof rack bars for the ŠKODA box can
be anywhere between 540 - 965 mm.
Note. The rear crossbars must be placed as far back as
possible for boxes mounted on any ŠKODA Yeti
produced before week 45 of 2012 (see detail).

When mounting the box on a roof rack with rectangular roof
bars, the bars may be a maximum of:

80 mm wide and 55 mm long (min. length 20 mm).

› Remove the protective rubber strips from the original roof rack
bars (only applicable for roof racks with oval roof bars).
› Position the roof box symmetrically on the roof bars and ensure
that it does not collide with the car aerial. If the aerial and box
come into contact with each other, fold the aerial down or
remove it.
› To open the box, turn the key to the left and lift the lid.

› Insert the T-groove bracket (C) into the T-groove in the roof rack
bars.
› Lift the box slightly and insert the bracket into the appropriate
holes. Do this for the holes on the left- and right-hand side at the
front and rear, lining each one up with the respective hole on the
other side.

› Insert the U-bolt (J), which is also surrounding the roof rack bar,
into the appropriate holes in the base of the box from under-
neath. Holding the bolt with one hand, identify which holes are
being used. Remove the U-bolt.
For both types of bars used:
Seal the remaining holes in the base of the box with the self-adhe-
sive seal caps (F, G) for protection against moisture.
