OPERATION GUIDELINES
NOTE: Before using the popcorn maker for the first time, we recommend you clean the unit following the
instructions under "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE".
Place the appliance on a flat, dry and level surface.
1.
Remove the top cover from the top of the appliance.
2.
Pick up the kernel cap on the top of the transparent cover and have it filled with kernels. IMPORTANT:
Do not overfill or under fill the cap. Under filling the cap can cause less kernels to popping. Overfilling
can cause burning and smoke. NEVER PLACE BUTTER OR OIL IN THE POPCORN CHAMBER.
3.
Pour the entire cap of kernels into the popcorn chamber through the hole. Place the cap back to its
position.
4.
Place the top cover as a bowl or place a suitable container beneath the popcorn chute to catch the
popcorn.
5.
Insert the plug into a suitable power outlet. Turn on the unit by press the on/off switch to position "I".
6.
The popped corn will shoot out the chamber and into the bowl.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE POPCORN MAKER COVER DURING OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER OPERATION.
THE UNIT WILL BE EXTREMELY HOT.
DO NOT OPERATE THE POPCORN MAKER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AT A TIME. ALLOW A 15 MINUTES
BREAK BETWEEN COOKING A SECOND CYCLE OF POPPED CORN. THIS WILL ALLOW THE UNIT MOTOR TO
COOL DOWN.
OPERATING YOUR POPCORN MAKER CONTINUED...
1.
When the rate of popping becomes less than about 1 per second, turn the on/off switch to the position
"O". Allow the unit to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the transparent cover. We recommend
oven mitts are used to remove the cover. Due to variations in the kernels, you may find not all kernels
have popped.
2.
Ensure the appliance is turned off after use. Allow to cool before re-using, cleaning or storing.
HELPFUL HINTS
1.
This product uses hot air circulation in the popping chamber to pop the kernels. To avoid damage to
your Popcorn Maker, never add butter, oil or any other substance to the popping chamber.
2.
Never use microwave popcorn in your Popcorn Maker.
3.
Use only fresh popcorn kernels. Old or stale kernels may cause scorching or smoking during operation.
4.
Take care when selecting the bowl for catching your popcorn.
A metal bowl may become hot, exercise caution when moving the bowl.
If using a plastic bowl, ensure it can withstand the heated air which flows from the Popcorn Maker
while in use.
