Replacing the Rapid Shift transmission chain
Proceed as outlined below.
1)
Unscrew the nuts (A).
2) Remove the washers (B).
3) Remove the casing (C).
4) Remove the spring (D) from the ten-
sioner (E).
5) Remove the joining link (F).
6)
Remove the chain from the pinions.
7)
Place the new chain on the tensioner
and pinions.
NOTICE
Take special care to fit the link correct-
ly and in the direction indicated in the
figure.
8) Join the chain with the connecting
link.
9) Connect the spring to the tensioner.
10) Position the movable guard (C).
11) Position the washers (B).
12) Tighten the nuts (A).
- Carry out the same procedure to make
the replacement in the other planting
units installed
Replacing the ploughshare
Proceed as outlined below.
1)
Remove the circlip (A).
2)
Unscrew the wing nut (B).
3)
Turn the lock lever (D).
4)
Push the share forwards and turn it
so it is facing downwards.
5)
Hold the ploughshare and remove
the screw (C).
6)
Remove the washer (E).
7) Remove the small plate (F).
NOTICE
During assembly, fit the Plant Control
device inside the ploughshare.
Make sure the flexible plate is centred
with respect to the share (see "Adjust-
ing the flexible plate centring").
8)
Set the new ploughshare into place.
9)
Position the plate (F).
10) Insert the screw (C).

11) Turn and hold the safety lever (D).
12) Turn the ploughshare so that it is facing upwards in its seat.
13) Release the safety lever and check that the ploughshare is locked.
