Types of coffee
Americano
Adjust the coffee spout to the desired height.
Press the Americano button to prepare Americano coffee.
Use the up and down buttons to change the amount of coffee bean grams and the water
(ml) if desired. First, you will be able to change the grams of coffee while the grinder is being
activated, and then, when the pump starts running, you will be able to change the volume of
drink.
If you want to prepare less coffee than the preset setting, press the exit button to stop the
brewing process.

Espresso
Adjust the coffee spout to the desired height.
Press the espresso button to brew one single espresso.
Use the up and down buttons to change the amount of coffee bean grams and the water (ml)
if desired.
If you want to prepare less coffee than the preset setting, press the exit button to stop the
brewing process.

Hot water
Adjust the coffee spout to the desired height.
Press the hot water button.
Once you have obtained the desired amount of hot water, press the exit button to stop the
process.

Ground coffee
Tap the ground coffee icon.
Open the ground coffee inlet cover and introduce the desired amount.
Select the desired type of coffee.

Milk froth
Press the steam button. The display will start counting down while the unit is preheating.
Fill a jug with about 100 ml of milk for each cappuccino you want to prepare. It is recommended
to use cold whole milk for optimal results.
Note: Use a jug with a diameter greater than 70±5 mm, and bear in mind milk doubles its
volume during this process. Make sure the jar is enough high.
Once the countdown elapses, the steam tube will start generating steam.

Insert about two centimetres of the steam tube into the milk. Move the jar up and down to
froth milk.
Once steam is generated, the panel will display the operating time of this function, about 35
seconds. Press the steam button again to stop the process.
Warning: Clean the steam exit with a wet sponge immediately after use. Be careful not to burn
yourself! Then, remove the steam tube and clean the duct's inside part. It is also recommended
to emit steam again in order to clean possible milk remaining inside the tube.
Note: The steam tube and the steam function can be used to froth milk or to heat drinks such
as hot chocolate, water, coffee, etc.
Other functions
Coffee grinding level knob
Warning:
Do not pour ground, instant coffee or any other substances into the bean tank.
Never use coffee beans that have been stored in a freezer or candied beans and avoid using
roasted beans. It is suggested to use only fresh coffee.
The coffee grinding level knob located inside the bean tank should only be adjusted during the
coffee grinding process.
Slow coffee flow means the coffee beans have been ground too finely. Press and turn the
coffee grinding level knob clockwise in order to select coarser grinding.
Fast and light coffee flow means the coffee beans have been ground too coarsely. Press and
turn the coffee grinding level knob anticlockwise in order to select a finer grinding.

Note: PowerMatic-ccino 6000 Serie Nera includes 5 grinding levels, and PowerMatic-ccino
6000 Serie Bianca includes 6 grinding levels.

From the standby mode, press MENU for 3 seconds to enter the coffee machine's menus. The
first menu entered is descaling, then, tap menu repeatedly to switch from one menu to another.
Descaling
Pour the descaling solution into the water tank following the proportions indicated by the
descaling product's manufacturer.
Fill the water tank with fresh water.
Press the menu button for 3 seconds until the descaling icon appears on the display, and then
press enter.
The descaling solution will be dispensed at intervals.
The machine will complete the descaling process once all the water has been used.
