Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the table to see if you
can correct the malfunction.

Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
■ Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This may put your own and future
users' lives at risk. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair
work.
Problem

Compressor off,
No electricity to socket.

Mains plug is loose.
Compressor off,
The temperature control

dial (1) is set to "0".
Desired temperature has
been reached.
Appliance cools
Power level is set too high.

Solutions, tips, explanations
Check the socket with another appliance.
Check the tightness of the mains plug.
Turn the temperature control dial to a
higher position (see "Setting the cooling
power" on page EN-10).
Further cooling not required. When the
inside temperature rises, the compressor
automatically switches on.
Select a lower setting (see "Setting the
cooling power" on page EN-10).
Select a higher setting (see "Setting the
cooling power" on page EN-10).
See "Checking and cleaning the door
seals" on page EN-14.
Place insulation plate between the
appliances or change location.
Adjust ambient temperature (see "Intended
use" on page EN-4).
Set the temperature control dial to "7".
If the compressor does not switch on
within an hour, please contact our Service
department (see page EN-28).
