Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem your-
self. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact our customer service
department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The operating lamp
in the ON / OFF
button (19) does not
light up.
The fuse in the fuse box
is triggered.
Water runs out of the
device.
The coffee runs very
slowly into the glass
jug (13).
The coffee is too weak.
The ground coffee does
not drop into the filter
compartment.
A large amount of
steam is produced in
the brewing process.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
Too many devices connected to
the same circuit.
There is too much water in the
water tank (5).
The drip stop (7) is blocked.
The device is furred up.
There is too much water in the
water tank (5).
There is not enough coffee
in the filter or coffee bean
compartment (2).
The grinder shaft is blocked.
The device is furred up.
The device is being used for the
first time.
The device has previously been
descaled.
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Reduce the number of devices in
the circuit.
Do not overfill the water tank!
Clean the filter insert with drip
stop.
Descale the device.
Pour only the quantity of water
required for the number of cups
you want into the water tank.
Pour in the quantity of coffee
required for the number of cups
you want.
Clean the grinder shaft.
Descale the device.
A smell often develops when
new devices are first used. The
smell should disappear once the
device has been used several
times.
Rinse out the device with fresh
water.
