NOTICE
Always insert batteries correctly with regards to polarity
(+ and –) marked on the battery and the product.
Switching on/off
•
Remove the product from the sleeve (F).
•
Set the ON/OFF (J) switch to the ON position. An audio signal is emitted.
•
Set the ON/OFF (J) switch to the OFF position after use.
Choosing the temperature scale
Select the temperature unit Celsius or Fahrenheit, using the °C/°F switch (I).
Checking the temperature
•
Remove the meat or poultry from the oven or BBQ-grill.
•
Insert the tip of the probe (E) at least 2.5 cm into the thickest part of
the meat or poultry.
•
When the temperature reading is stable, press the HOLD button (A)
to lock the temperature display.
•
"HOLD" appears on the display (B).
•
When HOLD mode is activated, the thermometer can be removed to
read the temperature clearly if the viewing angle is difficult.
NOTICE
For accurate results, the probe should not make contact
with bone or gristle.
Probe insertion tip
Insert the tip of the probe as close to the middle of the meat as possible
without piercing through.
