rious damage to the pump
seals.

MAINTENANCE

THE ONLY MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS THAT CAN BE
PERFORMED BY THE USER ARE THOSE AUTHORIZED
IN THIS MANUAL.
ALL OTHER OPERATIONS

Maintenance operations on the boiler, on the pump, on electrical
parts and on all components having a safety function must be
carried out by an IPC-approved Service Centre.
The manufacturer will not answer for the effects of tampering
with the product, or of unsuitable modifications, repairs and
maintenance work performed by third parties without explicit
authorization.
The documented service history of repairs and scheduled main-
tenance carried out on the appliance, plus any certifications of
its installation in accordance with current statutory requirements
(IEC60364-1 standard) must be kept with care by the user in
the same place as this Instruction Manual.
Periodically, at least once a year, have the appliance checked
over by an IPC-approved technical service centre to verify that
the safety devices are in good order and the settings correct.
It is especially important to conduct an analysis on exhaust
gases.
The factory setting adopted by the manufacturer is designed to
ensure that post-combustion gases will contain less than 0,04%
CO and comply with rating n° 2 on the Shell-Bacharach Smoke
Scale, as required under current regulations.

Before performing any maintenance operations, disconnect
the appliance from the electricity supply by turning off at the
double pole isolating switch or unplugging from the mains
socket, and from the water supply, by closing the tap (refer to
sections on connection to the electricity and water supplies).
Before reconnecting the appliance to the electricity and water
supplies when maintenance work has been completed, make
certain all body panels are replaced correctly and secured with
the relative screws.

Failure to observe these procedures can result in
danger of electric shock.
PRECAUTIONS AGAINST FROST
The appliance must not be exposed to frost.
On finishing work, or if the appliance is to stand idle for any
length of time in surroundings exposed to frost, the water circuit
must be filled with antifreeze to protect it from serious damage.
FILLING WITH ANTIFREEZE (fig. 11)
1 - Turn off the water supply (tap), disconnect the hose and
run the appliance until the water circuit is completely empty.
2 - Shut the appliance off by turning the On/Off switch to the
"0" position.
3 - Prepare the antifreeze
solution in a container.
4 - Immerse one end of the
supply hose in the container
of antifreeze solution, connect
the other end to fitting 4B and
turn the lever of the valve "G"
to position B.
5 - Start the appliance by
turning the On/Off switch to
the "I" position.
6 - Run the appliance until anti-
freeze comes out of the lance.
7 - Turn off the appliance
and disconnect from the electrical power supply by operating
the double pole isolating switch or unplugging from the mains
socket.
9 - The antifreeze solution prepared as in step 3 must also be
put into the header tank.

Antifreeze is a chemical that can cause environmental pollution.
Accordingly, pay careful attention to the instructions on the pack
when using the product. (Do not release into the environment).
CLEANING THE FUEL FIL-
TER
Disconnect the filter from the
fuel line, and replace (Fig. 12)
Replace the filter periodically.
