1. The computer uses two "AAA"
batteries (also called "..M4" or
"..R03"). When the display is weak
or faded, replace the battery through
the back of the computer.
2. Use
preferably
batteries.
When
rechargeable batteries, note that
alkaline batteries have a longer
operation time than zinc-coal
batteries.
3. Always replace all the batteries; do not mix old and new batteries, or different battery types.
4. Determine the proper polarity (+ and −) and orientation of the batteries with the symbols on the
computer housing. Insert the batteries correctly and make sure they have good contact with the
spring. If the display is illegible or only some segments appear, take out one battery and re-insert
it after 15 seconds.
5. Remove the batteries when they are exhausted or if you do not use the computer for longer time.
This prevents hazards from leaking batteries.
6. Do not try to recharge disposable, non-rechargeable batteries.
7. Do not dissemble batteries and do not throw them into fire. Danger of explosion!
8. Dispose of used, non-rechargeable batteries as separate special waste according to local rules
(see also notes on the last page of the manual section in your language).
