1. SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
The guide rails permit precise, splinter-free sawing of planks
and boards with the following HiKOKI hand-held circular
saws and HiKOKI plunge-type saws:
C3606DPA
Various circular saws of the following manufacturers
are compatible with this guide rail: Bosch, Festool, Hilti,
Metabo, Makita.
2. CIRCULAR SAWS WITH GUIDE
GROOVE
2.1 Clamping guide rail
See page 2, fi g. A.
Using the tensioning clamps (711237) and the quick action
clamp (711238), the guide rail can be secured on the
workpiece for safe working and protection from slipping.
The tensioning clamps are pushed onto both sides of the
guide rail into the T-slot (1).
2.2 Attaching the machine
Descriptions for machines with a groove (2) in the circular
saw guide plate:
See page 2, fi g. B.
-
Mount the circular saw as shown on the guide rail. (The
groove (2) in the circular saw guide plate slides in the
profi le (3) of the guide rail)
-
Depending on the machine, gliding without play can be
set on the guide rail (see operating instructions of the
machine).
Diagonal cuts can be carried out in all angle settings.
2.3 Splinter Protection, Adhesive Coating and Sliding
Coating
Prior to attaching the Sliding Coating, the adhesive
remains on the guide rail must be removed completely
(if required using solvent)!
See page 2, fi g. C.
Splinter Protection:
In new condition, the outside edge of the Splinter Protection
(6) protrudes slightly beyond the cutting track of the circular
saw blade. This protruding section is cut off in the fi rst
cut. To avoid tearing, the Splinter Protection (6) should lie
completely on a support when sawing. The edge of the
Splinter Protection is then cutting edge of the workpiece.
When changing the circular saw, it is usually necessary to
replace the Splinter Protection with a new one. For easier
insertion of the new Splinter Protection (6) the front area can
be pulled out from the guide rail (about 2–3 cm) to permit
a safe grip (see page 2, fi g. E). If the insertion by hand is
too diffi cult, pliers can be used to pull the Splinter Protection.
Since the insertion can cause lengthening of the Splinter
Protection, we recommend letting the guide track rest for a
while before cutting off the protruding ends of the Splinter
Protection. Spare Splinter Protections can be ordered under
order no. 4100077.
Adhesive Coating:
Replace the Adhesive Coating (4) in case of damage or
strong wear. Replacements can be ordered under order no.
4100079.
Sliding Coating:
Replace the Sliding Coating (5) in case of damage or
strong wear. Replacements can be ordered under order no.
4100078.
(Original instructions)
2.4 Extending guide rail
See page 2, fi g. D.
Using the connector (order no. 4100080) two guide rails
can be joined.
Align the guide rails fl ush. Push connector into the guide rail.
Tighten the four tappets in clockwise direction using the tool
provided.
2.5 Setting mitre guide
See page 2, fi g. A.
Undo the knurled screw at the bottom side of the mitre
guide. Insert mitre guide into T-groove (1). Set desired
angle and tighten knurled screws again by hand.
