Installing the MPP solar charger
7.1

Installation location

When selecting an installation location, consider the following:
• The device should be installed close to the batteries to keep the battery connection cable as
short as possible.
• The mounting surface must be even and sufficiently hard.
• The device must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture and dust.
• There should be a space of 10 cm on all sides around the device.
7.2 Mounting the MPP solar charger

Before drilling any holes, ensure that no electrical cables or other parts of the vehicle
can be damaged by drilling, sawing or filing.
➤ Mount the device with 4 screws vertically on a wall with the terminals pointing down.

• Completely cover all solar panels with an opaque material during installation to pre-
vent electricity from being generated.
• Observe the recommended cable cross-sections, cable lengths and fuse (chapter
"Determine the cable cross-sections and fuses" on page 20).
