Switching On/Off (see figure A)
To switch on the fan, rotate the operating button (2) clock-
wise (in rotational direction ➊).
To switch off the fan, rotate the operating button (2) anti-
clockwise (in rotational direction ➋) until there is an audible
click.
Changing the Air Speed (see figure A)
To increase the speed of the fan, rotate the operating button
clockwise (in rotational direction ➊).
To lower the speed of the fan, rotate the operating button
anticlockwise (in rotational direction ➋).
Aligning the Fan Head (see figure B)
To align the fan, hold the fan by the carrying handle (3) and
tilt the fan head (4) forwards or backwards.
The fan head can be tilted forwards by up to 30° and back-
wards by up to 150°.
Temperature-dependent overload protection
In normal conditions of use, the fan cannot be overloaded. If
the fan is overloaded or the permitted battery temperature is
exceeded, the electronics of the fan will switch off until the
temperature returns to within the optimal operating temper-
ature range.
Attachment Options
Use the carrying handle (3) to hold or position the fan.
Your fan has multiple mounting and assembly options. Select
the option that is best suited to your location.
Mounting the Fan
Note: The fan can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal pos-
ition. Make sure that the fan is mounted such that fan opera-
tion is not impeded.
Mounting on the Keyhole (see figure C)
Position the wide part of the keyhole (8) above the screw
head (Ø 4 – 6 mm).
Push the fan downwards until the screw is in the narrow part
of the keyhole and the fan is secured.
Mounting on the Utility Hook (see figure D)
Fully pull the utility hooks (5) out of their slots.
Rotate the utility hooks if necessary.
Note: It is only possible to rotate the utility hooks when they
are fully extended.
Mount the fan in a stable position (max. depth 36 mm).
Assembly of the Fan
Assembly on Rods Using Rod Holders (see figure F)
The fan can be secured to rods using the two rod
holders (10) (max. Ø 22 mm).
Position the rod holders (10) above the rods and push the
fan onto the rods.
Bosch Power Tools
Assembly on a Tripod Using a Tripod Thread (see
figure G)
Notes on using the tripod
Only use the fan in an upright position when it is mounted on
the tripod.
Adjust the tripod legs so that the tripod is stable and the
middle leg is plumb.
Use a tripod with a carrying capacity that is greater than
3 kg.
Mount the fan on the tripod
Use the fastening screws of the tripod (1/4") to position the
fan tripod mount (9) and set the fan down on the fastening
screw.
Note: Make sure that the tripod mount of the fan (9) is fully
seated on the fastening screw.
Rotate the fan clockwise as far as it will go in order to attach
the fan to the tripod.
Assembly Using Screw Clamps (see figure H)
Install the fan using screw clamps by fastening the screw
clamps to the clamping surfaces (11).
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Remove the battery from the fan before carrying out
u
work on the fan (e.g. assembly, cleaning, etc.). The
battery should also be removed for transport and stor-
age. There is risk of injury from unintentionally pressing
the on/off switch.
Keep the fan clean to ensure good, safe operation.
If the battery is no longer working, please contact an author-
ised after-sales service agent for Bosch power tools.
Regularly clean the fan and the grille in front of the ventila-
tion slots. How often cleaning needs to be carried out will de-
pend on the application environment and the application
time.
Regularly blow out the interior of the fan head, the propeller
and the motor housing area with dry compressed air.
Use a clean cloth for cleaning. Under no circumstances
should you clean the fan with brake fluid, petrol, products
based on crude oil or strong solvents.
Do not use cleaning pads made of plastic or steel wool. You
may permanently compromise the surface structure.
Never clean the fan with sharp and/or abrasive cleaning
products. You may damage the surface of the tool.
Storage
Remove the battery from the fan before storing the fan.
Store the fan in a cool and dry place and ensure that it is pro-
tected from direct sunlight, heat and cold.
Keep the fan in its original packaging in order to protect it
from dust.
