Do not use the device in the trunk of a vehicle or in a station wagon, mini-van, minibus, SUV, or RV.
Do not use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals; Do not use an appliance which is leaking,
damaged or which does not operate properly.
Do not build the gas grill into any other structure. A fire or explosion may occur, which can cause serious
injuries.
MAINTAINING THE GAS GRILL
Fire and explosion hazard
•
Repairs and maintenance on the gas system may only be carried out by an authorized and specialized
professional. Do not make any modifications to the gas grill or pressure regulator.
•
Do not widen the valve or burner tube and its respective openings.
•
Replace the pressure regulator and hose after 10 years at the latest, even if no external damage is
visible. Ensure that the pressure regulator is approved for the gas used and is set to the correct outlet
pressure (see TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS). A new hose must not exceed 1.5 meters in length.
MEASURES IN CASE OF GAS ODOR
•
Turn off the gas supply, extinguish all open flames – including cigarettes – and open the lid if there is
one.
•
If the smell of gas persists, keep your distance from the device and alert bystanders.
•
If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well-ventilated
flame free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your
appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
•
Do not wear loose clothing during use or assembly.
•
Never lean over the gas grill when lighting it.
•
Always have a bucket of sand on hand or use a fire extinguisher suitable for grease fires. Consult a
specialized store for more information.
•
Direct bystanders to safety! If possible, turn off the gas hose valve. Keep in mind your own safety.
Spontaneous, explosive re-ignition is possible.
•
In the event of fire, any filled pressurized gas containers should be removed from the area at risk of fire.
If this is not possible, pressurized gas containers should be protected from overheating by spraying
them with water or using other suitable means from a safe position.
•
In case of a grease fire, try turning off the burners. Close the lid until the fire has been extinguished.
WARNING: Never attempt to put out an oil or grease fire with water.
•

Keep your distance from the source of the fire and inform the fire department immediately.
