8.4 Battery pack operation

The PF-12 can also be equipped with an internal battery pack, which is charged via the USB
interface. After switching on, the charge status of the battery pack is shown in the upper part of
the display in the form of a battery symbol with an "A". When connected with a USB cable, the
info "L" appears next to the battery symbol to indicate that the battery is being charged. You can
order this battery pack separately (REF 919201) and insert it into the photometer. The battery
pack is inserted into the instrument as follows:
1. Loosen the screws of the battery compartment and remove the cover.
2. Remove the holder of the four AA batteries and carefully disconnect the plug connection to
the instrument. Connect the plug of the battery pack to the connector of the PF-12
insert the battery pack into the battery compartment. The connecting cable must not be
kinked or crushed during this process.
Replace the battery compartment cover, tighten the screws and turn the device around.

8.5 Transport

To transport the device, the delivery box with its protective interior is best suited. Therefore,
keep the packaging. If you no longer have the packaging in hand, use a suitable cardboard box
as outer packaging and soft padding material so that the device cannot slip during transport.
Choose a suitable packaging for shipment.
