9.8.2 Odin Fixed, Oval Fixed

9.8.2.1 Placing the appliance

When installing the appliance, proceed as follows (See appendix 2, Fig. 17, 18 & 19):
The appliance may only be mounted on a horizontal, non-combustible and solid ceiling.
!Caution
Ø
Place the sliding pipe through the hole in the ceiling and into the existing double-walled duct.
The sliding pipe should protrude 150mm from the ceiling after installation.

Ø
Slide the ceiling plate over the sliding pipe against the ceiling and mark the 8 recessed mounting holes.
Ø
Drill 2 holes Ø10 completely through the ceiling for the M8 threaded ends.
Make sure that the two Ø10 holes for the threaded ends on the hole pattern are positioned opposite each other.
!Caution
Ø
Drill 6 holes of Ø14 and press the supplied M8 wedge sleeves into the ceiling.
Ø
Fasten the ceiling plate to the ceiling with the 6 Allen screws in the wedge sleeves.
Ø
Insert the M8 threaded rods through the flange and ceiling and fix them with the supplied washers and nuts.
Ø
Slide the retaining ring from the bottom around the rigid pipe.
Use the supplied spray can with heat-resistant lacquer to remove damage.
!Tip
Ø
Press the retaining ring and the rigid pipe against the ceiling plate and secure them with the 8 Allen screws.
Ø
Remove the baffle plate from the appliance.
Ø
Attach the appliance to the rigid pipe on the inside of the appliance by means of the 3 bolts and washers.
Ø
Fit, if applicable, the restriction plate and the baffle plate.
Ø
Adjust the appliance to the desired position and fix the ceiling plate with the 6 adjusting screws.

9.8.3 Odin Front/Tunnel, Plateau, Oval, Plateau

9.8.3.1 Placing the appliance
Assemble the outdoor air connection (if applicable) before mounting the appliance on the plateau

(see section 9.3).
When installing an Odin/Oval Front appliance, the temperature development at the rear of both the
appliance and the flue must be taken into account. It is recommended to install a screen plate on the flue gas
outlet to protect the stucco on the wall behind the appliance. See section 9.8.1.2
When placing the appliance, proceed as follows:
Ø
Determine the position of the flue exhaust and the plateau.
Ø
The assembly bracket is already mounted under the appliance.
Ø
Mount the appliance on the plateau using the four supplied bolts (see appendix, fig. 20).
The hole pattern in the case of a tunnel appliance, deviates from that of a front appliance.

Ø
Tighten the 4 bolts from the underside.
The assembly bracket can be adjusted by means of 4 Allen screws located on the underside. This will allow proper

alignment of the appliance on the plateau. Loosen the 4 hexagon bolts by a number of turns and align the
appliance on the plateau. After aligning the appliance, re-tighten the 4 hexagon bolts.
Ø
Adjust the flue exhaust (see section 9.2.3).
