3. In the case of ceiling installation, secure the
fan against falling with 3 screws (Fig E). Suit-
able mounting material is to be provided by
the customer.
4. Fit protection against accidental contact, for
example SGR protective grille.

7.3 Commissioning

1. Switch the mains fuse on. Remove warning
sign.
2. Run function test.
8 Operating the unit
Fan is switched on/off with light switch or separ-
ate switch (both to be provided by the customer).
The fan switches on/off immediately when the
switch is pressed.
In the event of thermal overload, an integ-
rated motor overload protection switches the
unit off. Before starting the fan back up leave
it switched off long enough for the motor and
temperature limiter to cool down. Only then
switch it back on.

9 Maintenance

The unit is maintenance-free.

10 Cleaning

Undertake cleaning regularly, select clean-
ing intervals based on soiling. Do not use ag-
gressive cleaning agents.
1. Switch off mains fuse, secure and fit warning
sign so that it is clearly visible.
2. Remove all layers of dust and dirt from the top
and inside of the ventilation duct.

11 Fault rectification

Fault finding only by qualified electrician.
Call on the services of a qualified electrician
any time there is a fault. Repairs should only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.

dentally switched back on and position a warning
sign.

12 Dismantling

Dismantling only permitted by a qualified elec-
trician.
13 Environmentally responsible
disposal
The unit and the packaging contain parts that can
be recycled, and should not end up in the do-
mestic waste. Dispose of the packaging material
and the unit in an environmentally-friendly way, in
compliance with the regulations valid in the coun-
try where you are.
