Various Playback Modes

You can play back picture at various modes: reverse
playback, still and field by field pictures, and high-
speed playback in both forward and reverse directions.

Reverse Playback

During playback, keep pressing Z REV. Reverse
playback picture appears on the screen.

• During reverse playback, streaks appear on the
monitor screen.
• This function only works during playback in the
standard mode.

Still Picture

During playback, press P PAUSE.
To resume normal playback, press P PAUSE or
z PLAY.
When the still mode lasts for more than about five
minutes, the VCR will automatically enter the
playback mode.
If the picture shakes while in the still mode
Adjust the picture with TRACKING –/+.

Field-by-Field Picture

In the still mode, press ) FF.
Each time you press the button, the picture advances
by one field.
When you hold the button down, the picture advances
continuously.

Picture Search

During playback, press ) FF (forward direction) or
0 REW (reverse direction). A high-speed picture
(about five times the normal speed in 3-hour mode)
without sound appears on the monitor screen.
To resume normal playback, press z PLAY.
