Commissioning
8.1 Filling and purging
The system must be filled and purged with due care. The pump
rotor space is automatically purged after a short operating pe-
riod.
CAUTION!
WARNING! Danger of burns
Depending on the operating status of the pump or the system
(temperature of the medium to be pumped), the pump can
become very hot.
Touching the pump may cause burns!
The temperature at the heatsink can reach up to 70°C within
the permissible operating condition range.
8.2 Setting the pump output
8.2.1 Regulation types
If the pump is operated in the constant regulation type,
p-v, the pump output must be set based on the calculated op-
erating point. The factory setting does not correspond the
pump output required for the system. It is determined based on
the characteristic curve diagram of the selected pump type
(see product information).
8.2.2 Setting the pump output via PWM signal
When the speed is adjusted using a PWM signal, the setpoint/
actual value comparison required for the regulation is carried
out by an external controller. A signal (PWM) is sent to the
pumps from the external heating controller as a manipulated
variable.

Maintenance
Maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by
qualified specialists!
CAUTION!
WARNING! Danger of electric shock
It must be ensured that there are no risks resulting from
electrical energy.
Disconnect the system/pump(s) from the power source and
secure it/them against unauthorised restarting before
carrying out any maintenance or repair work.
CAUTION!
WARNING! Danger of scalding
When the medium temperatures and system pressures are
high, let the pump cool down and depressurise the system.
