CAUTION: All connections and couplings must be hand-tight. Do not tighten them with tools.
Otherwise damage may occur.
1. Unscrew the nut (N) from the housing (U). Remove the UV-C lamp (K) from the supplied tube (see
packaging) and carefully slide the lamp into the quartz sleeve (M), pay attention to the correct
position of the sealing rings at the quartz glass. Place the lamp (K) with the contact pins in the lamp
fitting (L) and then tighten the nut (N) on the housing (U).
2. Fit the unit into the circuit using the three-part couplings (I). Tighten the three-piece coupling (I)
firmly, while ensuring the correct position of the sealing rings (P), both at the connections and the
quartz sleeve (see figure 2).
3. NOTE: Let the glued parts evaporate for 8 hours.
4. Activate the pump and check the flow and any leakage of the system.
5. Insert the plug of the UV-C device into an earthed wall socket that is protected by a residual current
device.
6. Look through the transparent parts of the device to make sure the lamp is lit.
7. The device is shut off when power is disconnected from the device.
CONTROL INDICATION CHECK
LED indication (Figure 4a)
If the UV-C device is switched on, the system will check itself. The LED will then turn green or red. This
depends on the status of the lamp or power supply.
Lamp indication status (Figure 4a)
Green: the UV-C lamp is lit.
Red: the UV-C lamp must be replaced as quickly as possible. The lamp is defective, loose or the power
supply is defective.
NOTE: There may also be a lamp error indication (red light) on if the correct order of mounting
is not followed. In this case, the ballast is first supplied with voltage and then the safety switch
is activated. This occurs when the lamp base is inserted into the quartz glass of the reactor.
Always ensure that the unit is fully assembled before feeding the ballast.
0-5 V DC (Figure 4b)
If the UV-C device is switched on, the system will check itself. After this, the signal cable plus/minus will
output 0 or 5V DC. This depends on the status of the lamp or power supply.
5V DC: the UV-C lamp is lit.
0V DC: the UV-C lamp must be replaced as quickly as possible. The lamp is defective, loose or the power
supply is defective.
