Caution!
The smoke detector is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose the device to
any moisture or rain.
The product does not warn against fire or smoke if the batteries are empty.
Do not open or manipulate the smoke detector since this could result in mal-
functions.
6. Installation
The smoke detector is operated with one 9V battery and does not require any
extra wiring. You can install the device either on the ceiling or on a wall.
7. Commissioning the smoke detector
Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Open
the battery compartment on the rear side of the device and insert one 9V battery.
Pay attention to the correct polarity of the batteries.
7.1 Battery
1. Open the battery compartment at the back of the device.
2. One 9V battery is required to supply power to the smoke detector.
3. The poles at the end(s) of the battery
must be connected to the opposite
terminal connections on the detector.
Ensure that the battery is inserted in
the position indicated on the detector.
4. Once the poles are aligned correctly,
push the battery down firmly until it
locks into place and can not be shaken
loose.
